The New Year takes a turn for the Worst!

On the fifth I took Canyon to therapy like I do every Monday. On the way back I noticed my check engine light was on and the temperature gauge was in the red. So I got home ran inside and told mom that my engine was gonna blow. So she followed me to our great machine Don. We showed up mom told him what was happening and I was crying. He told us to leave Suni over night an he'd look at it the next day. He called the next day to tell us it's no big deal just needed a new thermostat and he'd replace it and it would be good to go. After mom got done with work I picked her up and we went back to Dons. He then told us he replaced the thermostat and it's still over heating. He said it's probably the head gasket and he would work up a quote but they usually run around $1000. Mom said give up on it and we went looking for a new car. I called my dad and told him how much it would cost to fix suni and he said he could do it for way cheaper once he finds the right parts.

The search for new car lasted a week and I had to do it mostly on my own. I would go to dealers find a car I liked get the vin and email it to the bank to see how much of a loan I could get. By Thursday I was done looking, Jared's mom said I could use his truck if I needed it and I was about to take her up on that offer. Around 5:30 Thursday night mom said how about we look at the cheapest new vehicles just to see how much you can get for that. I was excited I always wanted a Fiesta and now I might beable to get one. We went and looked at the Feistas, ofcourse they didn't have any hatchbacks so I instead took the vin of a sedan. Mom kept laughing at them saying they looked weird. She suggested we go to the Chevy dealer and look at the sparks I told her there was no point because I didn't like the sparks enough to buy.

We got there right before they closed and they told us we could take it for a quick test drive. I LOVED it and Canyon did too. When we came back everyone was gone except for one guy who was locking up. I told him I just took a spark for a test drive and was bringing it back he was surprised that the guy who gave me the keys had left before I returned.

The next morning I emailed the bank hopeful of a good response. I got an email back they couldn't give me the full price but it was a good chunk of it. So I called the dealer told him what I could offer which was $800 less than asking price and he said you have a deal. I was so excited I didn't know what to do. I signed tons of papers at the bank and dealer and then got the keys handed to me it felt like it wasn't real.

I got Sparki on Friday, Monday I came to school for the first day of the semester and a car behind me in the parking lot hit me. I was so angry and shocked. Ofcourse something would happen to my brand new car, but it wasn't bad.

The next weeken dad came down with the parts and we worked on Suni. Yes WE! I actually helped. Suni sold a few days later to be a first car for a 16year old at Pottsville. Sweet little Suni is going back to high school.

New Year

So I came up with a New Years Resolution the other day to be more involved with my blog. Let's see how well this works.

Let's start with Christmas.
Jared got to come home for a two week leave for the holidays.
Jared's graduation for basic training.
Before Christmas nana and papa came and we went to russellville to see the town lights. This is our town Christmas tree (aka the giant blue tear drop)
Boo-boo wishing he got presents this big.
Christmas morning Malaki and I had on our Christmas pjs.
Moms 29th Birthday!!
We had crab for dinner (surprising) and canyon sang happy birthday to himself (like always) hahaha
New Years Eve. We were waiting for the ball to drop so we could go to bed haha.
On the second we took Jared back to Oklahoma for training. Longest drive ever! I got sick on the way there which was sooo great but felt better after a while.

Bye Bye Jare-Bear

Monday was my official last text goodnight to Jared. I told him to have lots of fun to make sure and be safe and to not be "that guy". You know the one, the know it all that gets on everyone's nerves including the Sergeant.

Saturday night we went to the Tech football game (my first one ever) to watch Jared re-enlist in the Army. He was super excited because a 2-star general was coming to re-enlist them.

After the re-enlisting we snuck over to go sit with Jared and had to keep an eye out for his Sergeants so he wouldn't get in trouble and have to do a ridiculous amount of push ups.

Before he we dropped him off Sunday at the hotel Susan took us out for his "Last Supper" as his older brother Jamie liked to put it, at the Flying Fish.
When it was finally dark out and Susan decided we should probably head back home we started to say our goodbyes. Jordan and Jareds goodbye was quick and painless a high five hug and a see ya later brother. Susan gave him and big hug then quickly went to her car to cry. When I gave him a hug all the tears that I had been fighting back all day came rushing out and I wouldn't let go of him I didn't want him to see me cry. Then Jordan came over and hugged us both trying to make us laugh. As I got in the car Jared came over to his moms window and said don't worry mom this is the last time you have to do this and she just rolled up her window and cried some more.
It was a hard car ride back we talked about anything and everything just to not think about it. Jordan kept cracking jokes to lighten the mood.

At least I have a sweet little man to snuggle with when i'm sad.
Me and Boo-Boo mis his daddy bunches!

Summer in a nut shell

So Canyon tried to open my car door and it got caught on my front bumper and well crunch... But no worries we got it fixed.
One night Malaki was outside with us and chased "sweet pea" up a baby tree in the front yard so we got a ladder and carried her down. Once inside Malaki decided he would watch over her all night. The next morning our neighbors came to take care of her.
Jared's friend Dj decided to meet up with us to play some baseball, Canyon turned out to be the best player out there.
We now have a splash pad in Russellville canyon loves to go there and play with the fire hydrant.
Baby boo!
Jared and his twin joined the army. Jared leaves in October for basic and in September Jordan comes home from basic. I got me and Jordan's girlfriend bows to match.
Me and Brittany spent a couple days at magic springs. We spent all day in the lazy river.
Brittany finally officially asked me to be her maid of honor, after calling me her maid of honor since she got engaged. Haha
Canyon went to Hudson's 2nd birthday party and was so excited about the train whistle and hat.
